A warm, low-key affair colored by new guitarist Nels Cline’s striking and lovely work, it’s the most consistently elegant effort of Wilco’s long lifespan. “Hate It Here” sounds like a White Album outtake by fifth Beatle Geoff Tweedy, and “Impossible Germany” is the decade’s most gorgeous song (and you know it).
