Same gal who never understood my husband's "key party" joke. Oh well.

I have been dying to hear what you thought of the concert but haven't had the opportunity to catch up with you and then it occurred to me to read your blog. (Lord... how long did THAT take?)

My neighbors on my street BBQ tonight were STILL talking about how much they LOVED the concert. (Obviously-- they're still talking about it.) They loved it. The late appearance was irrelveant despite many criticisms. (These were die hards who were neither surprised nor disappointed)... they argued that Springsteen can put on a 3 hour show-- hello? That was enough. After all, they argue, he's Bruce.

Will listen to the discs you made me with renewed interest and zeal tomorrow. I am feeling guilty I didn't appreciate them better sooner after reading your remarks. Thanks, as ever, for your pithy thoughts.

~K.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00185448797171783864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34024688.post-3282606069255764832008-08-27T07:40:00.000-05:002008-08-27T07:40:00.000-05:00Michael...you nailed it...every person has a diffe...Michael...you nailed it...every person has a different experience of the same event, especially when expectations are running high. Glad to hear there were no transporation mishaps on the way to the show this time and that you have turned Teek on to BBQ.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14081881194235505037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34024688.post-33537911792607089112008-08-26T13:45:00.000-05:002008-08-26T13:45:00.000-05:00that was the thing that struck me the nights in je...that was the thing that struck me the nights in jersey - there is NOTHING nostalgic about the shows. there was in 92 with those two albums that shall not be named, which was pretty depressing, but this tour has been played with the same vitality (albeit with viagra references) as 30 years ago. for those kc folks who complained about the start time, that's when he always starts. no one in jersey enters the stadium until 8:30. but hey, we're like that. you also remind me of the last show he did at the garden in 2000 - robin ventura and todd zeile brought their wives, and zeile, like your neighbor, complained that "he didn't play enough songs i knew." and i said, "he wasn't playing for YOU, he was playing for ME." and i truly believed it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09225576716271632345noreply@blogger.com
